What Teens Learn in Class

Teens start with technique through shadowboxing, focusing on stance, punches, footwork, and defense. They then move into 2x2 drills that simulate combat-style situations, learning timing, control, and decision-making. Classes emphasize physical training, mental toughness, and autonomy, teaching teens to push themselves safely, prioritize fitness, and develop discipline. Beyond boxing, they gain life skills — focus, patience, resilience — while building strength, coordination, and confidence.

Path to Competition

Teens have the option to compete as they progress. The Tuesday/Thursday 5–6 PM class challenges them in a controlled environment, focusing on learning skills safely. More advanced students can gradually move to sparring in an open format, learning to hit without being hit while practicing strategy, reflexes, and quick decision-making under pressure. This pathway dives deeper into the sport, preparing teens who want to take boxing seriously while keeping safety and skill development first.

Strength & Conditioning

On Saturdays, teens join our strength and conditioning class to take their fitness to the next level. Workouts target endurance, speed, and power, simulating the physical demands of real fighting. Teens push their cardio, train in the “redline zone,” and refine body control to handle high-intensity, combat-specific challenges. This class builds raw athleticism, stamina, and precision, giving them an edge inside and outside the ring.

Benefits of Teens Boxing

Boxing boosts confidence both inside and outside the gym. Teens learn self-protection, assertiveness, and situational awareness, giving them tools to handle conflict safely. The sport helps them channel anger and stress, improves focus, and strengthens mental resilience. By mastering boxing, they build discipline, confidence, and self-reliance that carries over into school, sports, and daily life.

Personal Training for Teens

For teens with specific goals or higher-level training needs, private or semi-private sessions are available. These sessions provide individualized coaching, technique refinement, and a plan tailored to their abilities and goals. Some teens benefit from extra one-on-one attention, making these sessions ideal for:

  • Shy or anxious teens

  • Teens needing confidence before joining group classes

  • Athletes wanting faster technical progress

  • Competitors sharpening specific skills

It’s perfect for teens who want a faster progression, personal guidance, or a deeper dive into the sport while staying safe and motivated.
